Hoffman Materials' SAW wafers are manufactured from premium, single crystal quartz stones; either seeded or seed-free. Each wafer is optically polished on one side and virtually free from chips and scratches. Proprietary lapping procedures assure consistent process parameters and high yield.

3inch/76.2mm and 100mm diameter wafers are available with thicknesses ranging from 0.35mm to over 3mm. Specify primary and secondary flats to identify angle. Custom angles; some common angles are 34.0', 36.0', 38.0', 40.0', 42.75' (Standard ST cut). Standard inclusion specification is Grade II, CEI/IEC 758.
